Audio transcription with Secure Redact

Automatically generate a Transcript from all audio in a video/audio file, which is editable, redactable and downloadable.

  1. When uploading the video, click to auto-detect Transcript to generate a transcript.

    • Choose to translate your audio into English from French, German, Hindi, Italian, Lithuanian, Polish, Punjabi, Romanian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai or Urdu.

  2. Once it is Ready for review, click the file to open it.

  3. Click Transcript to open your automatically generated transcription. This is the Transcript Panel. The transcription shows all conversations said throughout the video/audio file, alongside a timestamp of when they were said. Hover on the seconds to play that particular phrase.

From here, you can:

Redact audio

You can redact audio in 3 different ways: (1) through our auto-detection of PII, (2) by searching for specific terms or (3) by clicking on particular words/phrases. Understand more from our Audio redaction page.

Include Speaker diarization

  • Hover over the “unlabelled” badges, then click Label to assign a name to that speaker. It will automatically change all corresponding speaker labels to that individual.

  • Easily correct speaker assignments: Hover over the speaker's name or click any word/phrase to reassign that timestamped segment.

  • Use the Speakers button (top right) to:

    • Turn on/off Speaker Preview (Show/Hide)

    • Redact/Unredact all of a particular speakers’ audio

    • Merge a speaker’s audio into another

    • Label speakers

Redact text in the Transcript

Within the Transcript, click on specific words or click and drag across phrases. Then click Redact, highlighting the word in orange. This will redact the text in your downloaded Transcript.

Download your Transcript

Simply click the Download button (top right of the Transcript Panel). A pop-up will allow you to include:

  • Timestamps

  • Speakers

  • Download it as a particular file type and/or

  • Have no text redacted, Highlight (in yellow highlight) the selected words/phrases, or Redact the selected words/phrases.
