Tracker
Are there video frames where an individual isn’t tracked? Or need to track a new object for redaction? Secure Redact’s Tracker feature can be applied to intelligently predict tracking forward - automating editing even further.
Tracking a new object
Pause the video where the object is first seen in frame.
In the Video Player, draw a redaction box over the object that doesn’t already have one. In the Timeline, the corresponding orange bar will be added to its own row.
Click Tracker in the Toolbar (keyboard shortcut = T).
Secure Redact will intelligently track the object forward throughout the entire video. The Timeline bar animates blue to show the tracking progress.
Click in the Video Player, and use the keyboard arrows to move forward through the video (or press Play). A green arrow will appear on the animated blue bar, showing which frame you are in.
N.B.: You can also hold down the right arrow key to play through the video whilst the Tracker runs.
To change where the track is suggesting: Adjust the redaction box in the Video Player as needed. Tracker will auto-update the Track from that point onwards. Click the grey animated bar in the Timeline to redisplay the green arrow.
Accept the predictive Track up to the frame you are currently in (green arrow) or discard it (red cross).
Filling in the gaps between Tracks
To "fill in the gaps" between Tracks, or extend a Track forward or backwards, simply pull the edge of an orange bar (Track) in the Timeline and extend it. Secure Redact will automatically continue tracking the individual/object in question.
If needed, move and resize the corresponding orange box in the Video Player, then continue to pull the edge of the orange bar.
